raelene.jpgHi All

This post today is a good but bad post.  While I love the way the card has turned out, I just wish I never had to make it.  I made this card for my wonderful Maternal Child Health nurse who I found out last week has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Raelene was a wonderful support to me (us) not only when I was a new mum but also as our girls grew up. She was always a friendly, reassuring (but honest) voice on the other end of the phone, even if I had to listen to her trying to convince me that her beloved football team was better than mine!!!

Raelene our thoughts are with you and can’t thank you enough for helping us when we needed you, we hope we can be here in any form when you need something :)

The card is made using the very yummy Parisian Breeze Paper, chocolate chip, Very Vanilla and Kraft card stock  and the very versatile Thoughts and Prayers Stamp set.  I am going to be said to see Parisian Breeze paper disappear at the end of November.

Hope you are all well and will be back soon with more

Happy Stampin :)

and here is my creation

Keesha

My card base is Real Red (not a colour I use a heap, besides at Christmas)

Then I added a layer of So Saffron that I have corner rounded in two corners and punched several rows of piercing

Then a layer of whisper white, again I have conrner rounded two corners

Finally a layer of Regal Rose, corner rounded again, and stamped the main rose out of Fifth Avenue Floral in Regal Rose.

I then used my aquapainter to watercolur the main image again using Regal Rose and So Saffron Re-Inkers, some So Saffron Ribbon and a scallop circle in Real Red, a So Saffron 1 3/8 Circle Punch and a 1 1/4 Punch using Whisper White and the greeting is from the hostess set Best yet which I have inked using my markers

Hope you like it

frontback

Hi All

As always firstly my apologies for being absent for a long time.  I got retrenched from my real job of 15 years about a month ago and then it was school holidays and to be perfectly honest I have a serious case of  “lost mojo” I am hoping my wish jar may just come with a free mojo lol!!

My eldest daughter, Grace is turning 8 next Friday and all she wants for her birthday is a “Wish Jar”, apparantly a “Wish Jar” is a jar you make wishes into!!  I saw the new Summer Love Rub Ons in the new Spring Mini Catalogue and thought they would do beautifully.

Sorry the photos aren’t great but it was really hard to take a photo of.   Anyway enough of my whinging, I am going to  have a secret wish for my “mojo ” to return so hopefully it will work and I will post more regularly :)

Happy Stampin :)

All in the familyI have had lots of requests lately to use the “All in the Family” set.  This is a great set, for not only card marking but scrapbooking as well.  These couple of cards show you how you can use the same set and  layout but get a toally differtn result.  The Boy card is using Pacific Point, Chocolate Chip and Good Morning Sunshine Paper and the grisl card is using Pink Piroeutte, Regal Rose and Sweet Always Paper.  The saying is from the Curly Label Ounch Bundle.  The “Little People” have been coloured in using blender Pens and the pastels

Hope you like them

rocketSorry for being slack and not posting for a while, same old excuses I have been busy with workshops which has been fantastic but has left me short of time to keep my blog updated.

This card has been cased from  Alisa Tilsner it uses pun fun which is a great versatile set for all occasions.  The card base is basic grey, then real red card which I have used the Classic Stars roller in real red ink and each corner has vintage brad. The greeting has been heat emobossed with white embossing powder with a greeting from “On Your Birthday”.  The rocket has been coloured in using my blender pens.

Hope you are all enjoying your long weekend

Happy Stampin :)

surfer

He hardest task I find with cardmaking is coming up with a male card, and there aren’t alot of stamp sets (I think anyway) which makes the task even harder.  I get asked alot to do workshops making a male card for the same reason. My surfer card is made using the “Seaworthy” stamp set, which is about the best (again I think anyway!!)  I am still haven’t a disagreement with my husband because he thinks I have put the surfer on his side, what do you think? Anyway I liked this card becuase not only was it appropriate for a male but you could do lots with the surfer for a young/teenage male.

This card is made using Not Quite Navy, Pumpkin Pie, Kraft and Whisper White card stock, then a piece of Pumpkin Pie striped ribbon attached with a staple, and the greeting is from the “On You Birthday” set and mounted on Whisper White and Pumpkin Pie using the small and large oval punches.

Happy Stampin :)
